Coolmax® is a modern polyester fiber developed by DuPont for the production of thermal underwear. It is also a registered trademark of the company. Its main function is to provide excellent body ventilation and keep the skin surface dry. The Coolmax fiber has a cross-section composed of four or six circles, with constrictions in between. This structure provides significantly better breathability and moisture-wicking properties compared to natural fibers (such as cotton).
